At Lafayette Out, our mission is simple: to support local businesses, promote community events, and tell the stories that make Lafayette, Louisiana and the surrounding Acadiana region such a unique place to live, work, and visit.
Over the past several weeks, Lafayette Out readers, followers, and community members have participated in our Local Business Spotlight Contest by nominating and voting for their favorite local businesses. The response exceeded our expectations, with nearly 50 businesses receiving nominations from supporters throughout Lafayette and surrounding communities. See Article

Our goal is to connect residents with local businesses, upcoming events, restaurants, attractions, and community news while helping small businesses gain visibility online. After carefully reviewing nominations and votes, we are excited to announce the five businesses advancing to the final round.

4. Crepes Locos
A favorite among local food lovers, serving unique and delicious creations while building a strong presence in the Lafayette community.
5. Ebony’s Beauty Hair & Skin Care 337
A beauty and wellness business dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best while making a positive impact in Acadiana.
How the Finalists Were Selected
To ensure fairness and transparency, Lafayette Out reviewed all submitted votes before finalizing the results. Duplicate votes, multiple-business votes from the same voter, and non-voting comments were removed from the tally. Business pages were allowed one vote each.
Our goal has always been to create a fun, community-driven opportunity while maintaining a fair voting process for everyone involved.
Why Lafayette Out Created This Contest
Lafayette Out was founded to celebrate everything that makes Lafayette and Acadiana special. From local business spotlights and community news to festivals, live music, restaurants, family activities, and things to do in Lafayette, our platform exists to help residents stay connected to the people and places that shape our community.
Small businesses are the backbone of the local economy. They create jobs, support local families, sponsor community events, and help preserve the culture that makes South Louisiana unique. By shining a spotlight on local entrepreneurs, Lafayette Out hopes to encourage residents to shop local, support local, and invest in the businesses that invest in Acadiana.

The winning business will receive a featured article on Lafayette Out, highlighting its story, mission, services, and contributions to the local community. This feature will help introduce the business to new customers while celebrating its success and impact within Acadiana.
